We are living our happily ever after dream with each other

I met my husband on LDSMingle in November of 2004. We almost both canceled our membership after some frustrating dates and relationships, but luckily we logged on one morning and found each other and are living our happily ever after dream with each other. We can't believe how lucky we were to find each other in such a unique way from different ends of the same state. My husband's sister followed our example and likewise met her eternal companion online. Keep the faith, true love is just a click away!

We both knew that the other was the right person

I got a message from Haplo on the 16th of August 2007. We instant messaged for a while. Right from the start, we go along really well. We talked on the phone quite a bit too, even though I wouldn't normally give out my phone number to anyone I'd met on the internet. We first met at the end of September when haplo made the drive over to Melbourne. Besides a few initial nerves, we had a great weekend together. Then we counted down the days until I went over to Adelaide at the start of November by talking on the phone several times everyday and getting to know each other more. I went over for a 4 day weekend and met his family and friends and we had another perfect weekend. Then just a week and a half later, I made the trip back and we spent two and a half weeks together. At this time, becoming engaged was just a formality because we had already talked about marriage and family and we both knew that the other was the right person to spend eternity with. We are getting married on the 1st of March and it's so exciting preparing for our big day and we can't wait!!!! Haplo and Jacques1980

I am grateful he came into my life when he did.

I remember when I first meet Derek (a recent mingle member)on LDS Mingle. My friend who is a member on mingle started to talk to him and realized that he was not her type. She thought I was his type. So on Jan. 1,2007, just after midnight CST, we started talking online and getting to know each other. There was just something different about him than any guy I had ever met before. After the first night of talking, we exchanged numbers, it took us about two weeks to start talking on the phone.

We didn’t start dating until about Jan. 15, 2007 because I decided it was time to call it off with a non-member who kept calling breaks in the relationship. Derek understood the situation and was very patient with it until I did what I had to do. By the 15th we were dating!

After I broke-it up with my ex., my relationship with Derek started moving fast telling each other, "I love you", etc. Within a few days we were having “couples prayers” over the phone and reading the scriptures together. And within a week of dating, he was making plans to come and see me at spring break.

Even though we were miles apart, we were growing together. He was teaching me so much and bringing me closer to the Lord. He made a real difference in my life.

In March I flew home from school to my parent’s house in Texas and he flew from his parents house in Utah to see me at spring break. That was a wonderful week; one full of many memories.

We knew by the end of the week that we were going to get married. He even had called me future Mrs. McGee. I was speechless. I never thought someone would love me that much.

I had mentioned to him that week that we needed to write LDSmingle.com, and tell our success story, but we decided to wait a while until things got closer to send our story.

At then end of the week, he went back home and I went back to school. Eleven days later, I receive a call from his sister saying that Derek had been killed in a car crash.(On March 29, 2007). I was in shock and didn’t know what to do. I went out to Utah for his funeral meeting his parents and the rest of his family for the first time in person.

His family knew that he was going to ask me to marry him because his family told me he was showing them different engagement rings to get their opinions on them.

Being a member of LDS Mingle for 3 years, I will say Derek is the first person from that website that I have meet in person. I am grateful to the site for helping me meet him. And even though now he is the spirit world, I am grateful he came into my life when he did.

Thank-you LDSmingle for helping me see what was important in my life...allowing me to meet Derek and the many other Minglers I have meet on the message boards and chat rooms!

Now thinking to marry

Amy (Maddam_butterfly) and me (cristivalenzuela) started to talk since May 12 2007, she came to meet with me, and we are now thinking to marry next year, probably in August 8, 2008, and she will start now the paperwork to go for marry in Mesa, Arizona temple.

Thank you so much mingle!! After nearly seven months of communicating with my Cristian, we have finally met and are so happy! We hope to be married next August in Arizona, and life couldn't be better! We would have never met without the help of this website and the hand of the Lord in our lives. We are forever grateful.

I had known him from the pre-existence

This is a story of how two people from totally different worlds met because someone created a website just for that reason. This is sweetest_one's and eternalmate32's story of true love. It was 3 am and neither of us could sleep. Sweetest_one had been restless all night and given up on love, and eternalmate32 was directed by his bishop that he may not find his wife in texas and he mentioned the internet. Eternalmate32 had already tried mingle before but to no avail; however on this one magical night, it was our time to meet. We met in general chat, eternalmate32 was writing a bit but reading more. He kept seeing "whisper" and wondered what it was, so he asked anyone. Sweetest_one was curious about this guy, so she glanced at his temple status and she thought he was like every other guy I've met online. But this time the spirit directed me in another way, so I looked and read his entire profile, I found him very interesting and decided to respond to his question about "whisper". That's how this all began, the very next night we were on the phone chatting for hours. Neither of us wanted to get off the phone, I had never had any guy make me laugh so much. I was impressed that I had known him from somewhere but couldn't figure it out. By the end of the night I knew where we had met. The phone conversations kept going for about two weeks before I told him where I knew him from. Without going into every detail, I knew that I had known him from the pre-existence, I know that doesn't happen very often. Two weeks later we were on the phone and he knew that he had to come here to Arizona and meet me and learn about me and my family. We had the best two weeks of my life. He arrived on Friday, on Saturday I saw the look in his eyes but he was afraid to say anything. By Sunday he told me what he knew too and that he was going to fast about everything. Oh, and he wanted to read scriptures and pray every night since our phone conversations began. I had always wanted that from a guy, what bliss I was in. Only half his visit was over and we were already ring shopping. To make a long story short he is now living here in Arizona, and we are getting married on Oct. 20th and have plans to be sealed for time and all eternity one year later in the beautiful and glorious Salt Lake Temple. I wish everyone on mingle or anywhere in life will find the one like I have. Never give up hope and know that your true love is out there, being prepared to meet you. Even if it takes four years to get there, it did me and he is so worth the wait. I love him with all my heart and soul and he loves me for eternity.
