We will finally be reunited again...

Two years ago, I met my wife on this site. I was a member and she responded with a free week long membership opportunity. She instant messaged me because she liked my profile and was trying to get the most from her short membership. We started talking and formed a friendship and eventually developed into soul mates. We met on this site sometime around March of 2006. Then I traveled to Brazil in December of 2006 for ten days to meet her and her family for the first time. We were engaged by the time I left. We planned a very nice civil wedding for June 22nd and we went to the Sao Paulo Temple June 23 to be sealed for time and eternity. We have had our share of trials getting through the immigration process. It has taken us a year to make it through the process, but I'm happy to say that this July, we will finally be reunited again and be able to start our life together. Thank You LDS Mingle!

Passports, Romantic Rendezvous, & lots of Freq. Flyer Miles.

GatsbyGirl,(Lisa) a confirmed bachelorette and Steve_Hannington (well, Steve), a very confirmed bachelor (both of "a certain age") met on LDSMingle in March of 2006. She was in Utah and he, a Canadian, was in Scotland at the time taking a break from Corporate life and working on a law degree.
Both had recently joined LDSMingle, thinking, "why not?" They kept it light, casual, and let the sparks fly naturally. An opportunity presented itself a month and a half after they initially started corresponding and next thing they knew,, GatsbyGirl was on a plane to Scotland to meet her Internet Suitor. (By the way, GatsbyGirl is a savvy business traveler and went with a bunch of "Plan B's" and a whole lot of cash in her back pocket so she could get out of an undesirable situation, should one present itself. Plus, she chatted briefly with his Bishop in Scotland before she hopped the pond to see Steve.)
But Lisa didn't have to exercise any of her Plan B's. She and Steve spent a magical time together touring the Scottish Highlands and sparks soon turned into some flames.
Two months after that first encounter, they rendezvoused again, but this time in Bath, England. (Enter swirling Jane Austen soundtrack.) Flames have now ignited into a full blown bon fire.
The following October, Steve moves back to the continent (though, still only in Canada) and they spend the next year and half rendezvousing in places such as Niagara Falls, Calgary, Moab, Zion, Grand Canyon, British Columbia, Bryce Canyon, Toronto, Palmyra, Salt Lake City, and even Costa Rica, though still not living in the same country.
So for two years, families are met, passports stamped, frequent flyer miles acquired and used, and finally on April 19, 2008--two years after they met in Scotland, they were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.
THANK YOU LDS Mingle! This could have never happened without you!

We are both very happy!

Wendy6031 and I met through LDS Mingle. I know we can call it a success, for after meeting in November of 2007, we were married on the 3rd of May '2008. We are both very happy and need to give the 3rd member of our family a bit of time to get used to his Step-Dad. Otherwise, we are looking forward to our life together and are anxiously waiting for May 3rd, 2009 so we can attend the temple together and be sealed as a family for time and eternity. We wish everyone that is searching for their Eternal Companion the same blessings that we have been given.

Everything about being with him felt right.

Eric sent me a smile on LDS Mingle, the very beginning of January. Instantly I knew there was something different about him. Even the women at work were telling me that I needed to be with this guy from the letters he wrote me. I found myself doing things that I would never do (stepping out of my comfort zone much too early). By the second week of January, we were talking on the phone on a nightly basis for no less than an hour at a time, sometimes 3 hours. I wasn't planning to meet Eric until the second week of February, but it seemed that it wasn't supposed to be that way. The plans that I had to go on a cruise at the end of January fell through, so I got in my car and drove five hours to see him for the weekend. That same night, (January 31st), he asked me out! We continued to move forward in the relationship much quicker than I have ever agreed with. It was like all the rules that I set in my head about length of dating and how quickly feelings were allowed to come on just didn't apply to Eric. Everything about being with him felt right. At the end of February, I went north to meet his parents and that's when he asked me to marry him. We're getting married on August 23rd in the Cardston Temple! From the moment we started talking, I had been praying to know if I was supposed to pursue a relationship. After some real fasting and prayer, we know that we not only are compatible, but are truly meant to be together for this life and the next. We couldn't be happier!

We began a wonderful dating relationship that turned to more

I joined LDS Mingle, somewhat of a skeptic in 2006, but more just to have some harmless fun. I travel a bit for work and thought it might be nice to meet a few women in areas where I travel; at the time mostly around Utah and Idaho. I never thought in a million years that I would become one of your success stories.
Then a pretty blonde from California peeked at my profile. I wrote a brief note and almost immediately a friendship began. Brenda (bshehee), a school teacher and mother of four, and I, talked and wrote as friends for nearly 10 months. We never talked romance, just got to know each other very well...pretty much becoming best friends. I would sometimes tell her about my other dating woes. I didn't know if I would actually meet her; she said right up front that she would never move to Utah. But just in case we might be able to meet, I advised her (since she was newly divorced) that she should just spend time with her children for the time being. She listened to me and that kept her sort of off the market until we met.
Finally, I had to meet Brenda. We almost did not meet because she sort of got cold feet ... this being an internet relationship. She had fears about me being one of America's Ten Most Wanted. Now I can say that I am simply Brenda's Most Wanted. We met in April of 2007 and began a wonderful dating relationship that turned to marriage on November 1, 2007.
So, thank you LDS Mingle for making this wonderful experience possible. Chuck (Fit4Fun)
