Everything about being with him felt right.

the happy couple

Eric sent me a smile on LDS Mingle, the very beginning of January. Instantly I knew there was something different about him. Even the women at work were telling me that I needed to be with this guy from the letters he wrote me. I found myself doing things that I would never do (stepping out of my comfort zone much too early). By the second week of January, we were talking on the phone on a nightly basis for no less than an hour at a time, sometimes 3 hours. I wasn't planning to meet Eric until the second week of February, but it seemed that it wasn't supposed to be that way. The plans that I had to go on a cruise at the end of January fell through, so I got in my car and drove five hours to see him for the weekend. That same night, (January 31st), he asked me out! We continued to move forward in the relationship much quicker than I have ever agreed with. It was like all the rules that I set in my head about length of dating and how quickly feelings were allowed to come on just didn't apply to Eric. Everything about being with him felt right. At the end of February, I went north to meet his parents and that's when he asked me to marry him. We're getting married on August 23rd in the Cardston Temple! From the moment we started talking, I had been praying to know if I was supposed to pursue a relationship. After some real fasting and prayer, we know that we not only are compatible, but are truly meant to be together for this life and the next. We couldn't be happier!

We began a wonderful dating relationship that turned to more

the happy couple

I joined LDS Mingle, somewhat of a skeptic in 2006, but more just to have some harmless fun. I travel a bit for work and thought it might be nice to meet a few women in areas where I travel; at the time mostly around Utah and Idaho. I never thought in a million years that I would become one of your success stories.

Then a pretty blonde from California peeked at my profile. I wrote a brief note and almost immediately a friendship began. Brenda (bshehee), a school teacher and mother of four, and I, talked and wrote as friends for nearly 10 months. We never talked romance, just got to know each other very well...pretty much becoming best friends. I would sometimes tell her about my other dating woes. I didn't know if I would actually meet her; she said right up front that she would never move to Utah. But just in case we might be able to meet, I advised her (since she was newly divorced) that she should just spend time with her children for the time being. She listened to me and that kept her sort of off the market until we met.

Finally, I had to meet Brenda. We almost did not meet because she sort of got cold feet ... this being an internet relationship. She had fears about me being one of America's Ten Most Wanted. Now I can say that I am simply Brenda's Most Wanted. We met in April of 2007 and began a wonderful dating relationship that turned to marriage on November 1, 2007.

So, thank you LDS Mingle for making this wonderful experience possible. Chuck (Fit4Fun)

It all happened very fast...

the happy couple

Back in December of 2007, I (amandakay89) was curious to see what kind of people were on this site and didn't think much of it. A few days later, I was receiving smiles and cards, when one guy stood out to me (leotelford). He was a returned missionary and I just had the urge to get to know him. We started to chat and within the week we were talking on the phone. About a month later, leotelford flew down to meet me in Gilbert, AZ. The moment I saw him at the airport, I knew he was a special guy. The night he flew home, he asked my dad to marry me. It all happened very fast, but we prayed about it and knew that it was right. I went up to Utah a month later to meet his family and everything has been wonderful. We will be married in early June of 2008; Two weeks after I graduate from high school! It's funny to tell people we met online, but without this site, I would have never found the man of my dreams. Thanks LDS Mingle!

He makes me a better woman and I love the man he is.

How can you tell a summary of the fulfillment of your heart-felt desires and wishes? I met Hoetotheendofrow on LDSMingle more than 2 years ago. Our beginnings were not as aususipicious in anyway and probably very similar to other stories you read. We "flirted", we "instant messaged", and then we talked on the phone. Both of us committed to taking our time in finding an eternal companion. So, I set about dating as many people as I had time and energy to date; thinking it was just like checking off items on a grocery list! Yikes! Rebound!!!

We didn't meet for at least 3 months. We had a great time, but were not rushing out to look at rings after the first weekend. We continued talking and getting to know one another. We even "broke up" for about 2 months and dated other people. Which I think we both had to do to appreciate what we had.

Our relationship grew strong because neither one of us hesitated in revealing all there was to reveal about ourselves, our pasts, our present, and our hope for the future. We worked HARD at our relationship. We were honest and kind with one another. We didn't allow the physical attraction (but it was GREAT) overshadow the emotional and spiritual attraction. We visited many different temples. We took both long and short trips together. We met each other's families and attended each other's wards. I think we got the best of a Disney "they lived happily ever after" and Dr. Phil's best advice for a healthy and happy relationship. Through our times together, we have developed love and trust and have healed our broken hearts. He makes me a better woman and I love the man he is.

Our success story is not over, but just beginning. We also have some more obstacles to overcome....my moving to him, kids not wanting move, etc., etc. But how much better to face obstacles and challenges with a strong, confident, loving, faithful, and kind partner by your side!

Keep looking! Keep hoping! Keep smiling and laughing! Hold out for the very best you can hope for. He/She is out there; I can testify to that fact!

To let you know that LenEarl & LongBeachSunshine got married on January 1st and are residing in Long Beach, Ca for the time being or till Nicole retires from her job. Len has his place in Arizona & we will move there as soon as we can.

Len is a Long Beach native. So coming back to town was a new beginning & trip back in time for him. He was supposed to visit on November 29th & 30th, but came early on November 26th and stayed for two weeks. Went back to Arizona for two more weeks to take care of business, then returned to Long Beach to take up where we had left & we have been with each other ever since.

Thank you so much LDSMINGLE for bringing us together. The funny thing is that Len was no stranger to me; I have known his family for years, his family is in my same church ward.

Len is a wonderful husband & I am a very blessed woman to have him in my life. We are happy to start this new year together as man & wife. We look forward to the rest of our life together & of course even beyond for all time & eternity.

We hope many more singles with LDSMINGLE will have the blessing to find each other like Len & I have. We wish you all a very, very happy & blessed New Year.

With best wishes & love from us both:
Len & Nicole
