I thought that I would not have found anyone through this site, but I was totally wrong. After two months, we chatted and talked on the phone. When we met, I have to say, it was much more than fireworks.
I thank my Heavenly Father and this site that I have truly found my other half.
I was online checking out who was online and met a guy named Nathan. I was running to work so we could not talk for long, but we were talking on and off for about two or three weeks, then all of a sudden...we were talking all the time. We were going on like that for about three of four weeks, until he asked me to be his girlfriend. Two weeks later, he asked me to marry him. I told him yes of course, but yet we are taking about a year to plan the wedding to get to know each other better. We love each other with all our hearts and we have not been away from each other for more than about 12 hours from the time we were able to meet face to face about a month and a half ago.
Slowdancer (Ron) and I (Julie-rockymtngirl) met on LDS Mingles mid-June. We both had several "other irons in the fire", but we also knew there was an immediate connection when we met. He unfortunately called one of his "irons in the fire" my name, and he said he knew then for sure that "I was the one for him", because he couldn't get me off his mind. I couldn't get him off my mind either. Since I come from a pretty remote location, it was hard doing the long distance dating. Slowdancer at least lived in the same state, 5 hours drive. We did the every weekend dating. He flew his Cessna down to see me and I would drive to see him. We got to know each other's Ward family, and family family. And most of all, we shared the Gospel and our Heavenly Family. He proposed on top of his mountain top ranch at a very special spot on bended knee. We share so many things in common; with the Gospel being the major one, we both love to dance, travel, hike, the great outdoors, and we both are positive upbeat people - in spite of the conditions of our economy right now. A Temple Marriage is in the near future. We thank you LDS Mingles, for bringing us together and wish everyone the same happiness we found.

I had no intention of pursuing a companion through this site and then through a series of circumstances, I decided to fill out the information and see what the site had to offer. I had prayed and received inspiration to look for my companion a week or two prior and I can see this experience was meant to be. I was impressed with several lovely sisters, but one in particular kept coming back to my mind over and over again. I decided to join and contact those I found to be most impressive to me, but as soon as I had contact with the one who would not leave my mind, I knew my search was over. Come to find out, a series of inspired promptings brought her to the site at just the right time or we likely would not have ever met. We did meet though and are planning our future together. I am grateful to God and that such a tool was available for his use in blessing me so profoundly.
I got on this site after learning about it from a friend. It was also the only way I knew I would be able to meet anyone (that didn't live in my area, very few single members here). I really thought I would just be making friends. After being on this site doing the free membership for a month and a half, I decided to buy a six month membership. Two days later, notisaac contacted me. We have been talking ever since. He is the man that was promised to me in a priesthood blessing. I never thought technology was the way to find your eternal companion, but I guess it's the way of the times these days and it might be one of the only ways to meet that special someone. Good luck to those still searching. Be careful, pray, follow your heart, and use common sense. God has a plan for all of us, LDS Mingle can oddly be a possible tool in that plan. Good bye and God bless!

My dad (who also met his wonderful wife on LDSMingle) actually signed me up for this. I am forever in his debt because I have met the most amazing and perfect man! Chandler and I spent about 2 months talking via e-mail and phone before he drove 18 hours to come meet me on my birthday and my son's baptism. For me, it was love at first sight because I already knew his heart... I love all of him and I know that together we have what it takes to make a good marriage great and an earthly marriage eternal. Just between you and me, I can't wait to start forever...

AFTER I CAME HOME DIVORCED FROM MY DUTY IN IRAQ, I THOUGHT I WASN'T READY TO MOVE ON YET. I SET UP A PROFILE ON LDS MINGLE TO HELP HEAL THE BROKEN HEART I HAD. I SOON MET JAMI AND WE DATED A LITTLE AT FIRST AND THEN WE STARTED SEEING OTHER PEOPLE. HOWEVER, IT WAS AT THE TIME OF MY LIFE THAT I WAS WANTING NOTHING TO DO WITH RELATIONSHIPS THAT SHE FOUND A WAY BACK INTO MY LIFE. SHE DID HER HOMEWORK AND NOTICED WE SHARED THE SAME BIRTHDAY AND SO THE IDEA OF SPENDING IT WITH SOME ONE SOUNDED GOOD. IT WAS A SLOW START, BUT EVEN WITH MY STRUGGLES, I FOUND THAT SHE WAS THERE FOR ME AND KEPT HER DISTANCE TO ALLOW MY HEART TO HEAL. IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE I REALIZED THAT SHE HAD BEEN THERE FOR ME LONGER THAN MY RECENT EX WIFE AND THE WHOLE TIME SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO BE THERE. I WILL BE HONEST, I DIDN'T MAKE IT EASY FOR HER BEING A VET AND TRYING TO LEARN TO TRUST AGAIN, BUT WHEN I LOOK AT WHAT I GAINED, I FEEL GUILTY I PUT HER THOUGH SUCH A HARD TIME TO TRUST HER. HOWEVER, I FELL IN LOVE WITH HOW SHE WANTED TO BE THERE FOR ME. SO NOW WE HAVE SET A DATE TO BE MARRIED IN MARCH OF 2009!
Just goes to show.....you never know. I met my husband's brother first on LDS Mingle. He invited me and my kids to watch him race stock cars. That night I met his whole family including my husband who was at the time engaged to someone else..lol. The stock car racer remained a friend and his brother and I started to date 3 months later. I guess the one he was engaged to didn't work out. Anyway, we have been together for over 2 years now and got married September 9, 2008. It's all good!

Thank You LDS Mingle. It took us four years, but Firedad and I are now finally engaged to be married in June of 2009. It started when I was living in California and he was in New Mexico. Now I am living in Idaho and he is in Utah. We met for the first time in May of 2008. Our kids get along with each other very well. His boys already call me Mom and my daughter calls him Daddy. We're already a family!

We both were on LDS Mingle and decided to meet each other after about 3 months of talking. We made a connection and have decided to get married this November. We both are strong members of the church and feel that LDS Mingle has truly blessed our lives. We are looking forward to our eternal marriage and are very happy. Thank you LDS Mingle!
