A blessing

I created a profile in June 2006 one Saturday night while I was sitting at home wishing I was out on a date. 3 days later I got a message from bfowers. I instantly felt drawn towards him and for some reason gave him my phone number after only 2 e-mails. He called me and we set up a time to meet the following week when we would both be done teaching for the summer. He drove down to meet me (2 1/2 hours away). Since then we have spent every possible weekend and vacation together. We are planning on getting married July 7th, 2007 in the Sacramento temple. He has been a blessing to both my 4 year old son and myself. Thank you!

Instantly felt the connection.

We started online chatting in September, even though we lived thousands of miles apart that did not matter. I lived in England and him in the States. We met and instantly felt the connection. 3 months later we got married in South Africa and have now decided to stay in Africa and open a game lodge.
So to all you guys and girls that feel that long distance relationship don't work, give it a try you might be surprised!!!!

It all started with a little smile.

It all started with a little smile, followed by a long walk through a park while walking a dog. The chemistry that both of us shared during those first moments together was amazing, and we both knew that something would come of this relationship. Even when I was required to move out-of-state, our relationship continued to grow. We will be married in the Salt Lake Temple on March 10th, 2007. Thanks LDSMingle! And a little reminder to everyone out there, don't be afraid to smile at someone you like. Who knows where it will take you?

Her story:
It all started when I smiled at bowless. He smiled back right away :) Then after our first date I gave up on waiting for him to make the next move so i asked him out for our second date. Ever since then we knew that this was something great! I will for ever be grateful I wasnt to shy to send that first smile. Bowless and I will be getting married March of 2007 in the Salt Lake Temple.

We could not be happier.

I met greatjourney several years ago on your site, and we were just married in the Nauvoo Temple December 23rd. I was initially afraid that being as an older single with children I would have to lower my standards, but I searched for someone with a temple recommend who loved children and the gospel. I am glad I did not compromise lower my standards. We could not be happier. I feel as though I have indeed found my eternal companion. Greatjouneys brother is now also married to someone he met on LDSMINGLE after hearing of our success in finding each other. They beat us to the temple though! But we are all grateful for LDSMINGLE. Thank you for helping us to fine one another.

He sent me multiple flirts.

He sent me multiple flirts which really got my attention. He even bought me a gift subscription so I could read his emails. That's where it started and now we are best friends. Our level of matching is incredible. We spend hours on the phone each day and see each other as often as possible in this long distance relationship. We are both in our 30's and never thought we could find someone so compatible. Sounds too good to be true but the reality is its a match made in heaven . . .

Eternity for us has already started.

Well what can you say in a success story about two people who joined mingle for the same strange reason... because other people goaded them into doing so.
I'm Think_of_a_name; a genuine englishman teased into this by my loving mother. The love of my life, Belisabeth; a most wonderful yanky doodle for the same reason, dear old moms... her words not mine. We met on here in October 05, corresponded on her, then email, messenger, phone, letter... I went to visit dear sweet Belisabeth in March 06 for a week. A rushed adventure of sight seeing...blooming marvelous time it was like. I thnk the only thing we didn't do in Seattle that week was ride the ducks. I don't think either of us is crazy enough to brave stormy waters like that week on a little dingy car thing. After I returned home we carried on talking and I just knew that I wanted to be with her again. So I gave up my job and my love of english food and crossed the world to spend as much time as possible with her. 3 months passed and a whole scrapbook later I returned home to England with my love following close by.. We had been formally dating 2 days short of 7 months when I asked her to marry me. Hopefully know one else will have to ask 3 times though. The story...I have joked and teased my fiance about it many times and the first time I asked she laughed as she thought I was joking. The 2nd time she cried 'cos she knew I wasn't. The 3rd time is when she finally answered with tears in her eyes and smiles on both our faces. We hugged and kissed and held hands and carried on watching Dorris Day in the early hours of new years day. This is our year to get married. Eternity for us has already started.

An unusual success story

I have a bit of an unusual success story.

When my son, who is now 20 years old, was in elementary school, he had a good buddy I will call David. David and his family attended our ward. David moved after the fifth grade and the boys lost contact with each other. About 1 1/2 years ago we tried finding David but were unsuccessful. About a year or so ago, I was checking to see who was online on Mingles. I came across a profile of a guy whose profile name was his initials and last name. It was the same last name as David's. He had a picture posted and looked rather familiar. I called my son over to the computer and asked him if he thought the man in the picture looked familiar. He agreed. I e-mailed the guy and asked if he knew David's family. It turned out to be David's father's brother. He gave me David's address and phone number and the boys got back in touch with each other and now communicate frequently. Needless to say, this guy is now David's favorite uncle and my son is happy as can be to have found his long, lost buddy.
Thank you!

The most amazing man

Wow I never thought I would be able to fill one of these success stories out! However, 3 years after I started my original profile here I am! I am getting married June 9th, 2007! I was just engaged in December of 2006. We just bought a house that I and my kids will live in until we get married! I (chrissymae2006) met Toddpick on mingle about a week after he created his profile. I sent him an IM and from there we chatted every night for about 5 hours or so a night. I lived in Seattle and he lived in SLC at the time. I came down to see him every other weekend at least, and then I was already in the process of moving to SLC. So in August I moved! The rest is history. We are both divorced and didn't think that we would get remarried, however we are so in love its crazy. Being a single mom it made it really hard to date. However he is the most wonderful, caring, compassionate father figure with my kids. We are so lucky! I never thought that I would fall in love and marry someone I met off of here... but I don't know what I would do if I didn't have him in my life! He is the most amazing man that Heavenly Father has ever created! Thank you LDS Mingle for helping me find the love of my life! I will be eternally grateful to your website! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
