The site which changed our lives

Hi Sara,
Bet you don't get too many temple marriages with as short of notice as Lorna's and myself. We chatted, then talked via skype, then determined to be sealed in the Manila Temple which we accomplished on 5th April. We'll probably be living here in the Philippines until the papers are ready to return to CONUS. Then, we plan to spend half our time there, half here. Thank you from both of us for the site which changed our lives!
**Updated May 29th, 2006**
It's hard to believe, but more than a year has passed since Lorna and I were sealed for time and eternity in the Manila, Philippines Temple. We first met on the Mingle website in late February of 2005, and were married on April 5th. My birthday falls on that date, so I have no excuse for not remembering our anniversary.
Since that time, we have been on an extended honeymoon. When we saw that it was going to take some time for Lorna's immigration application to be approved and the visa issued, we bought a home in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. For the past year and more, the two of us (Lorna mostly) have been beautifying it until now it is a joy for both of us. We'll probably leave for the U.S. some time this year, but it is doubtful that we will ever live in a home as nice as this. The home came with a cat. Now the cat is a grandmother with a daughter and three grandkittens.
We're indebted to Mingle and to Lorna's brother-in-law who paid for her subscription. I coincidentally subscribed at just about the same time. Neither of us corresponded extensively with anyone else. Because of expensive telephone bills, we switched over to Skype, a free internet telephony system and our conversations were hours long. We talked of serving a mission and held regular family prayer morning and evening. We fell in love with each other and our love has constantly grown since then. About three weeks after we began talking with each other, I arrived at Bacolod. Lorna was not hard to find. We had a prearranged plan for her to have a card with "Drifter Two", her Skype name, printed on it. About two weeks later, we flew to Manila with our wedding entourage.
The enclosed pictures were taken at our first wedding anniversary celebration held at Paradiso, a beachside resort near our home. Now, well into our second year of marriage, we are anxious to see what lies ahead when we travel to the U.S. Thank you, Mingle!

I am breathless with excitment
Thanks to Mingle Mail the man I have so longed to share my life with has come into my life. I have 24 grandchildren, 8 children, and he has 7 children, and 27 grandchildren, so we are looking forward to a busy time! He is the man I have always dreamed of, and it was an instant connection. We are getting married on May 28th, and the next day we leave for an Alaskan Cruise. Wow, I am breathless with excitment that I know will last the rest of our lives. My advice to all "minglers" is "don't give up!"

What an investment !
I was a member of another LDS Singles website, which I will not name, was not happy with the way it worked, and the number of people viewing and responding to my profile.
I prayed sincerely for the Lord to help me find love and was prompted to your website which I have never before known to exist. I was surprised with the number of views my profile had in the first few hours, so I became a member and joined up for the 3 month special. The very next day, I received a smile from a lady who I had sent a smile to and she happened to be online so we started chatting. The chatting became a daily excercise and also turned into phone conversations.
Although I live in Australia and she lives in Idaho, United States, I know the distance is not a barrier because the Lord guided me to her and has confirmed to me on a few occassions that this is the lady he would have to be my wife. I know that I knew this very special lady in the pre-existance and I will have all eternity to share my love with her. Later this year, I am traveling to the US to visit with her and then next year I am picking up roots and moving to America were we will be married in the Temple for time and all eternity.
Thank you for the service you offer. Prayer and faith have rewarded me with true love. Thank you LDSMingle for the service and thank you "countrydeb" for your love.

On the way to the Temple
Thank you so much for creating this site! I met my soulmate here and my wife feels the same way! To start with, I am a convert. About 2 months after meeting the missionaries, they introduced me to your site, about 1 week later, I met the woman that would become my wife. Our first date was my Baptism, and we have been inseperable ever since! We are coming up on our 1 year anniversary, and shortly after that we plan to go to the Temple to get sealed! Our lives have been pure bliss since we met! We both were single parents and our families have blended into 1 happy family! We also just had a son and can't be happier. Until we met, my wife was a non-active member, and I was a convert. Now we are very active and are on the way to the Temple. Once again thank-you for creating this site!

5 months later we are now engaged
I have tried so many other dating wesites, but no luck. Then, I got on here and had so many women to chat with. Then, the woman of my dreams sent a smile to me, not even 5 minutes later we were talking on the phone. 1 week later, we met and went out and had so much in common. 5 months later we are now engaged, we are getting married on Oct 8, 2005. If it wasn't for your website, we would both be single still.

Completely different from anything else
My intentions of opening account on ldsmingle were not to find the "perfect man" and get married. All I wanted was to meet people who would be attending BYU-I at the same time as me. I only wanted somebody who would be fun to talk to and could show me around. As it turned out, I started talking to "jshandrew" from Bountiful, UT in October of 2004. In no time at all, our online friendship had upgraded from instant messages and emails to long phone calls--and thousands of text messages. I bought a plane ticket to Salt Lake City so I could meet him and go to my very first live General Conference session. When we met at the airport I knew this relationship was completely different from anything else I had experenced. It was like we had known each other all our lives. There wasn't any of those uncomfortable silent moments or feelings of disappointment. We're engaged now and will be getting married September 17, 2005 in the Logan Temple.

BY GEORGE, IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING
By George, it's finally happening! I'm getting married and I want to tell the world! If you can help that would be great. For some of you this is a repeat. I'm flying to China on August 15th to marry my princess. I'll be there for 3 weeks, and start the paper work to bring her here. It will take 7 months to a year. She is 49 and I'm 62 and never been kissed. This is why I'm still a frog prince. I need my princess to get my prince status back!
Your truly,
Prince Frogy
