now living here and working

We started chatting on ldsmingle on Dec 24th, 2003. Easter weekend, I drove with some of my family to CA to meet him. The end of June, he came to Utah to stay for a few weeks and ended up staying for 3 months. He went home for a week and is now living here and working. We will be getting sealed in the Sandiego temple on April 8th 2005!

We would have never met if it were not for your wonderful se

Just a year ago, I signed up to join ldsmingle. I never thought this would have been the best decision of my life. I have met a wonderful man on your site and I have been spending with him a lot of time lately as he came from the US to visit me and my family here in Albania. We are engaged and plan to be married in August of this coming year in the Frankfurt Temple. Our lives have been so very blessed. Thank you for helping us find each other. We would have never met if it were not for your wonderful service and wholesome environment your site provides. We both are very grateful for this site that has changed our lives forever. You really do bring LDS singles together! :) Thank you so very much for all that you do!

felt like I had known him

Thanks to ldsmingle I have met the most incredible man of my dreams. He's amazing. From the moment we started chatting, I had felt like I had known him
forever. We now plan on getting married this year. Thank you so much. This website is awesome.

I have always had a strong dislike for the thought of meetin

After I graduated high school, I went on a mission to Texas.
I came home two years later and soon after got a job in sales. I heard a few people talking about their experiences meeting people on your website, and just as I did before my mission, I mocked them. I gave them all sorts of jive about, "What kind of a person do you expect to find on the internet anyway? Only desperate losers meet on the internet! You might as well get yourself a mail-order bride from Russia!" More and more I heard people talking, at work, and other places as well, about their experiences with your website. Finally, my best friend was even finding dates and having fun because of So, in the back of my mind, I thought, "I guess if I ever have time, I'll check it out".
One day, I was buying stuff on the internet and trying to get help on a subject I can't remember. I was about to turn off the computer when I was finished, but I thought, "Wait, I guess I'll check out that LDS dating thing." So I went to the site and made myself a profile thinking, "What's the worst that could happen? I might get all of about one date off of this thing, but I don't picture it getting any deeper in trouble than that."
I answered the questions, filled in the blanks, etc. and even took the personality test. I don't know why I took my time to fill it all out so well. I wasn't even hoping to meet someone, I just wanted to check it out. But when all was done, I clicked something that instantly found me women that fit my criteria.
And there she was on the first page or two! "briarrose24". She looked really cute and by her profile, I could tell she was special. So I sent her a smile, the one that said, "Your profile made me smile, so I'm sending you one in fair exchange." The next day, I went to get on my computer, and it crashed! So I had to go to a library 15 minutes away just to use the internet, which I did for a month or two.
I got a smile back from her the day after I "smiled" at her that said, "I'm not very good at flirting, but could I practice with you?" I thought, "Wow! This girl is spicy, and she even liked my profile enough to respond?!?!" Somewhere in between here and the next paragraph I actually signed up for the full membership benefits.
In reply, I sent her an E-Card, the one with roses on it and a message that said., "I would have gotten real flowers, but the lady was home where I usually get them." She responded with the thank you one with yellow flowers on it.
I really wanted to meet her, so I sent her the smile that says, "In case you're not a subscriber, I hope you become one soon." To which she responded with the one that said, "I think we'd enjoy writing each other...interested?" How was I supposed to write her if she didn't have a full benefits membership? I couldn't send her any personalized messages at all because she only had the free type. Was she mocking me? Just toying with me because she knew I'd never find her?
Somehow, I got a clue and remembered her profile said she lived in the Provo area, so I looked her up in the phone book and wrote her a letter hoping the girl in the phone book was the same girl I was trying to communicate with. The letter got to her just in time, because she had moved to a new address, and the people in her old place forwarded her the letter just before they moved out and the house was bulldosed down. Sure enough, it was her, and she gave me her email address.
We emailed for a week or so, and even though we could email, she wrote me a letter to reply to my first one, and asked when we met, what did I want to do? But before it even came in the mail, I asked her out on a date in an email. She replied and said she'd love to, and just happened to mention she had a softball game at some park at a certain time. I didn't know where that park was, but when I looked at my watch, I realized her game was about to start. It was a Friday night, and I had just gotten off of work, and had nothing important to do for the rest of the evening anyway, so I did some detective work (called the recreation center of that city) and asked them where that park was.
I bought us some Gatorades at a gas station on the way and when I found the park, there were no players on the field that looked like the picture in her profile. I was discouraged. But there was a girl on the bleachers who was one of the only fans there. The game was being played between two companies, so I asked her if she knew if this company only had one team, and she said yes. So when I finally realized which one was the girl I was looking for, I suddenly felt a bit intimidated and shy because she was even more beautiful than her picture I had seen on LDSmingle. I was tempted to just go home and wait to see her until our date the next day, but something made me stay. When she finally came into the dugout from the field, I said, "Hey Rorie! Are you thirsty?" She held her hand above her eyes to look and see who it was talking to her, and when she realized who I was, she came over and we talked for a while. We had our first date the next day, and then I had to leave on a trip to California for a week. We missed each other pretty bad already. When I came back, we went on another date. Then a few dates down the road, I asked her if she'd like to be more than just friends. She said, "Yes, I'd like that!" As if she were saying, "Yes, you idiot! That's what I've been trying to squeeze out of you for quite some time now. It's about time!"
We've dated for about 5 1/2 months now and I asked her to marry me this last Monday night after we got back from a trip down to New Mexico to meet her family, where I asked her dad for his approval of us getting married. (He obviously gave the answer I was hoping for. She even said, "Yes" as well.) We haven't set a date yet, but we're hoping for some time in the late spring or early summer of next year.
Thanks for everything!

very happy couple

My new wife and I have nothing but fantastic comments about LDSMingle:

I've been using LDS Mingle for years, dating often with the contacts I generated from it, and occasionally finding a good match. Last December (2003), I encountered a great match--a perfect match. "AmazonQueen" and I ("CallMeIshmael") dated, fell in love, and got married on September 11, 2004. We used to live 30 miles apart and it's unlikely we would have met without LDS Mingle. Now, we live an average of about 3 feet apart, and we're a very happy couple.

had the joy of blending two families

Dear Sara:

The past year has been a wonderful journey, so let me tell you about us:

I first noticed "Aldo" because of his picture on Mingle. It was of this sweet girl, dressed all in white, kissing this handsome man on the cheek on her wedding day. I asked him if the picture was of his precious daughter or one of his 10 wives. He responded by referring to the last line of my profile which stated that I was more fun than dirt. "More fun than dirt, eh?" (He's Canadian) "Prove it!" I have been proving it ever since.

We lived about seven hours apart so we made arrangements to meet eight days after we began conversing on Mingle. (We both feel strongly that it is important to meet early in these Internet relationships, if at all possible.) We met at the Seattle Washington Temple and knew immediately we had each met our eternal mate. That was September 2003. We married last December and the past 10 months have been incredible.

We have had the joy of blending two families - six children and four grandchildren so far - and dealing with trying to see past our cultural differences (eh? huh?). What a delightful, precious relationship we have! We were blessed to finally find one another and each day we fall deeper and deeper in love.

So, while we made a few Internet 'mistakes,' we learned and we perservered until we found each other, and now we are making eternal plans. Who could ask for anything more? Thank you.

All of this and I am just 48 yrs. old

Hi, this is "murmur". I met my best friend here on mingles last October and we just married this past Saturday. Her mingle name is "wlaine". We are so right for each other and we thank the Lord daily for being able to have found each other.
Combined, we now have a family of 10 children, 4 daughter-in-laws, 1 son-in-law, 3 grandaughters, and 2 grandsons. There are presently 3 children living with us, with one of those leaving soon on a mission, also there is presently one serving on a mission. All of this and I am just 48 yrs. old. I think that is some accomplishment. Thanks so much.

My fairytale came true

My fairytale came true!! I got on the site on a bet with another friend that there was no way you could meet someone online and fall in love. I was on the site for only a few weeks when I met Jeremy. That was back in March. He is from Charlotte, NC and I from Atlanta, Ga. I ended up
moving to NC in June and we are getting married December 11, 2004!!! He is my eternal companion, the one I had given up on and thought was just
a fairytale. Both of us are divorced single parents of only one child each, and dating as a single parent in the church was pretty tough for
us--until we found each other on LDSMINGLE. You guys are the reason we met our soulmates!! THANK YOU!!!!!!! :-)
